Lindsay's Wedding

Last Saturday little pooh (Lindsay's sad nickname from siblings) got married. It was really awesome to be in the temple with my entire family. We had babysitters for both the temple for and the dinner/reception - it was so nice to actually enjoy everything and hear what was going on.

Oh the fun of weddings - makes me remember mine all over again - and how happy I am that I don't have to plan another wedding again.

Crazy Woman

Turning four years old has only proven to be a new adventure. She has suddenly become Miss Independent - insisting on being our water waiter for each meal, retrieving anything and everything she or Travis wants (Even if it means stacking three diaper boxes -empty boxes- on top of each other). She has spent equal time in time out and saying/doing hilarious things. She still sings at the top of her lungs whenever playing dolls in her room - but these are her latest funnies:

--Me and Aaron were watching a movie when at nine o' clock at night Aaron realized the light was on in Whitney's room. Upon further inspection he noticed she had been quietly playing with the toys in her room for the last hour and a half.

--Here is her working out. As I lifted one morning she insisted that she needed to run and get her exercise this morning. I was amazed that she ran/walk - but mostly ran for 10 minutes! At one point she even got curious - turning the speed up to six miles an hour. Clinging for life on the rails she picked her feet up frantically until I set the speed much lower- to four - she thought that was boring.

--Whitney has always been a fake laugher. It half bugs me and half cracks me up. She can force herself to laugh at any moment. Lately her laugh has reminded me somewhat of McFly's laugh on Back to the Future (Best Trilogy Ever!). She shows a variety of laughs in this clip, but I think I point out the McFly laugh when she does it.

--She changes every few hours at least. Mostly wearing the princess nightgown day and EVERY stinking night. I'm lucky to sneek it in the wash.

Last but not least of her latest adventures is discovering how to have amazon hair. I always put the tight bands in Whitney's hair since it lasts a couple days - which means a couple days without the two minute battle. She hates when I take them out, so lately she has done it herself. Problem = her hair makes her look like Amazon woman. But who cares really, who else is going to see her besides her friends, family, and the cashier and crowd at Macey's - we'll wait 'till kindergarten to fight that battle. April snow brings May flowers?

Yesterday it snowed something fierce. I wasn't shocked, since it has snowed a little here and there the last two month, but this time Whitney made sure to remind me to play in it before it melted. My kids LOVE playing in the snow. It might even rank up there with a nice day for them. So -being that we'd been stuck inside all day- I consented.

The snow was nice and wet - perfect snowman making snow! I pulled them in the snow and then we played tackle. It really was a lot of fun. To make the story better - I just woke up to another four inches of ice snow outside. It's really pretty.........for January.

Easter Weekend

Last weekend we had quite the Easter party. Aaron's cousin got married on Friday --so starting Thursday we had some of Aaron's family come and stay with us for the weekend. It was a lot of fun with a lot of people --Whitney was more than happy to sleep in our walk-in closet if it meant her friends could stay.

Luckily Friday the weather was pretty good. We made a couple trips to the park and and played in the backyard a lot. On Saturday we started out going to the city easter egg hunt. Whitney froze, if it wasn't for Aaron I'm not sure she would have picked up anything. Travis however did pretty dang good for himself. We have free fries coupons that came with candy in the eggs up to wazoo now.

After the hunt we went to "jump on it." I love this place as much as the kids - how awesome to have fourty trampolines lined up together that you can mess around on! That night we went to Aunt Shelly's house with the other five thousand relatives.

Sunday the kids woke up to find their baskets the easter bunny brought. Doesn't Travis looked thrilled. I need to teach that kid the blue steel look at least.

Love Birds

On monday Lindsay and Jared were nice enough to let me pretend to be a photographer. They are so photogenic that I knew if they didn't turn out good --it was pretty much my fault. It was fun and a good excuse to go enjoy nature on a nice day:) Thanks again Lindsay and Jared for your time. Here are a few of the many pictures I liked of the cute couple.

My kids are going stir crazy having to stay in side still. At least today is supposed to be good weather - before another storm. They are great kids, but need to be let off the leash sometimes.

Happy Birthday Whitney!

Whitney turned four years old on Friday. That sounds so old to me. She is becoming little miss independent. She definately has her own agenda of what she wants to do and what she wants me to do. If she had it her way we would watch barbie and princess movies, play princesses, dress-up and dance every day. She loves living in a fairy tale world. She is really a sweet-heart though. She is a great older sister and I love watching her and Travis play together --when they aren't fighting --which luckily is most of the time. I love how fun she is, and that she is always wanting everyone to be happy.

We spent the a big portion of the morning making this: The princess castle cake.

For her birthday grandma and grandpa Rasmussen and Lindsay and Jared were nice enough to come help us celebrate. We went to Jump on it and then got cafe rio/Mcdonalds. We ate at Aaron's office building in peace and opened presents.

Feeling the beauty of new princess gloves! Big shocker that most of her presents had to do with princesses - she just can't get enough. Or as she would say "Just what I ever wanted!"

We had a great time - happy birthday Whitney. Crazy that it has been four years since I survived your crazy arrival day. You were worth every minute of it! I love you!
