For spring break we had a lot of play time. Playtime inside with toys and long days outside playing with friends.
We went to Chuck E. Cheese, Jump on it, McDonals and Swimming. By the middle of the week I'd already worn the kids out. Here's them "surfing" at home. Random comment: A couple days ago Travis told me with a big smile about a cool dream he had. "You let a big wave of water in our house and I surfed on it. It was awesome!" That made my heart proud :)
I love creativity. So it makes me happy to see my kids do something like this. What a comfortable seat for a movie - made by Whitney. Who needs a couch?
We had lots of visitors and family this month. Especially around Easter. We hosted a graduation party for Jared - which was a LOT of fun, held our first annual Hoopes Passover meal, welcomed Neal home from BYU Jerusalem, and had a festive Easter day. Our first Passover together as a family was definately toned down so the kids would know what we were talking about. Our FHE before that Saturday was about bondage and Slavery - which the kids got to experience first hand for five minutes. They didn't like doing hard work and everything we said - so me and aaron held noodles (our whips :)) to keep them motivated. We laughed pretty good and I think it got the point across. Our bitter herbs were Cry babies, we played a rice pudding game (though only I enjoyed the pudding) and had our four glasses of wine (grape juice). I look forward to this tradition and being able to get deeper and deeper into the meaning of passover/Easter on the Eve of Easter.

The week prior to Easter we redid/moved our trampoline. It was a TON of digging. Me and Aaron worked hard on it. The weather didn't want to cooperate with our plans though. Here is a pic that is hard to see but makes me smile big. Here's Aaron putting up the tramp in the rain with Travis' assistance. Travis thought it was awesome and came in beaming - he informed us that because he worked so hard Dad was taking him for some icecream. I love their father/son relationship.
Yes, I know these pics are in random non-chronological order, but deal with it. Here's Jared's present pinata for his party. Kids loved it and he was, as usual, a good sport about it. And yes, there is a tassle on the cap.
Hailey is walking all over the place now. She loves three things: Walking up and down stairs with my help, walking outside and on the tramp, and PIZZA! (Don't worry that's not nasty pizza on her tray - it's chicken noodle soup)
I'm aware, one shoe is missing. She managed to pull it off.Yesterday I had to take this picture of Travis playing football with the neighbor boys. It made me laugh out loud to watch him kick it off and tackle them. I love that he has to get decked out in order to play sports.
And that folks is a very brief run down of our April. I've enjoyed some goods books and conversations with Neal remembering my BYU Jerusalem days. I've also had a blast playing old womens basketball. Sometimes I forget how much I miss sports until I get the flavor back in my mouth! Here's to a hopefully warm May, we're just a couple weeks away from Kindergarten graduation. Oh, the fun.
