We did our annual visit to Hee Haw.

crawling

Here is proof of Hailey crawling - she's come a long way just in a couple days. Love how fast they learn and explore now

croquet and crawling

One day I got the croquet set out. I had little doubt it would fail miserably entertaining my kids. My only hope was that it was close to mini golf - something they had just watched Curious George try out. George is my hero. Because of him, we've had a blast the last couple months playing croquet. Travis has a wicked windup too! And dad, Aaron teases me for hitting the ball with the side of my mallet. But I can't get over the habit - it's how I played hockey with them, destroying all your mallets :) Why I love fall. The colors out my window are so vibrant now. Pics don't do justice.

And as of thursday, Hailey took her first crawling steps. She already wants to move onto standing and walking. But I'm pretty sure she needs a little more work mastering the art of crawling first. I love the couple of seconds everyday when I see her becoming more independent. Yes, seconds. Hopefully next week it will be minutes :)
Alright - video isn't working - I'll post it seperate.

seven months

This is how our photo shoot started... Then it moved outside....

Then she was loosing it...... and....

done.
These pics make me smile because these are the faces she makes whenever I hand her to someone. She clings to her mom :)

Fall Break

It's so weird to be planning vacation around when school gets out. But since we had a couple days without school or Aaron coaching football we made a vacation out of it. Thursday afternoon we drove down to St. George. We stayed with Aaron's Grandparents and had a lot of fun. We talked, played games, road bikes, and a favorite - road in the golf cart. It was a great start. On Friday we headed to a trail and biked some more. Good thing Hailey loves the stroller.

Then off to a favorite - the splash park. I really want a mini version of this place in my backyard someday.

Hailey showed off her hot body

Then we had a picnic - soaked in the hot weather. It felt great for the middle of October!

Kids were troopers in the car. Hailey did great and we didn't get one "are we there yet"

We hiked/explored Dixie rock. Kids loved it. I had great memories of goofing off here with friends during a spring break in high school. It has such fun unique exploring capabilities.
Whitney wanted to do EVERYTHING she saw her dad do.

Do these kids look ambitious? They actually hiked all the way up.
We then ventured to Cedar City. We swam, Whitney had endless energy.

After eating out and a movie we ventured sleeping . . . which didn't quite go well. Hailey didn't want to sleep there. After a long night and it only being 12:30 am, we decided to pack up and go home. Best decision. We got home at 3 and everyone slept peachy. It really was a great get away.

A tooth for a tooth

Last night an event occurred that Whitney has been longing for for quite some time. She lost her first tooth. Can you tell she's excited. Monday night when she discovered it was loose it was a big burst of adrenaline. Aaron had the honors of pulling it out. And even though it probably hurt she kept saying it didn't, just to ensure that he would keep pulling. Then the next morning, after a long night, I discovered why she had been onry. Her first tooth finally made it's appearance. Way to synchronize it woman :)

Pumpkin Family

Is there a need for different picture for our Christmas cards this year. I think not.
